UV Resistance
Polyethylene is damaged by UV (wavelengths from 250 to 400 nanometers) affecting mechanical properties, which deteriorates to the point that it finally failed to transmit light through the plastic. To prevent or reduce this harm; we add the correct additives and the concentration according to the expected age of the plastic, geographical location and exposure to the chemical materials.
The Right Transmission of Visible Light
Visible light is the spectrum required for plant photosynthesis, Transmission and layout of the visible light can be controlled by plant requirements, season and location of growth. Greenhouses are divided into two main colors:
Plastic treated with UVA Hals (white color) ans Plastic treated with UVA Nikkle (green color)
Whereas white color light transmitting into the greenhouse is faster.
Available Additives for Greenhouse Films
Thermicity: materials added to the plastic to give a property of keeping the heat gained during day at night.
Anti- Drip: materials that directly dispose the water formed from the condensation process during high temperature and humidity, as this water, can cause diseases to plants if it falls on it.
Anti-mist: in different world places the difference between day and night temperature is severe, therefore; greenhouse is filled with mist. Additive materials absorb the mist towards plastic and direct the anti-drip into the gutters.
Anti-virus: Antivirus blocks UV and reduce the ability to disease and pests, where insects can see within UV spectrum (up to 388 Nm), when UV are blocked; insects become blind and cannot see the greenhouse when they fly over it.
Anti- Dust: anti- dust feature ensures clean plastic for better light conductivity.
Lighting Diffusion: a feature promotes light dispersion when it enters the greenhouse, which makes all plants inside the house grow equally.
