This method relies on several main stages
After irrigating the soil with water, the soil is covered by transparent or green materials of polyethylene. Main cover role is to keep the heat inside the soil for a long time then the heat transferred to the bottom of the soil by water

During sterilization process physical, chemical and biological changes occur in the soil, leading to extermination or weakening of pests in the soil, higher temperature gives more effective of the sterilization and pest extermination

According to the period of sterilization, type of soil and plastic cover; the sterilization plastic cover should be left in the site for a period between 5-12 weeks, where the ideal time to apply this method is at the height of summer.

Sterilization plastic is divided into several types with different specifications and colors, for solar sterilization available in green, white and for chemical sterilization available in black where all additives are added according to customer›s order, such as (antiperspirant and thermicity)

Sterilization plastic is produced with different thicknesses from 35 microns to 100 microns and with different widths from 1 m to 14 m according to client’s order.
